Purebred Dorper Sheep

(RF 4291  x  Van Well Sheep Farm 621)
In the fall of 2008 we purchased a small flock of Dorper sheep from Van Well Farms to diversify our horse business.  We chose sheep because they eat a different variety of plants than the horses, including weeds.  We chose dorpers because they are an easy care breed that doesn't require shearing and are known to be easy keepers that will eat most anything (within reason).  The ewes are prolific and good milkers that can be bred out of season.  Their lambs grow rapidly. At this time we have a few QR ram lambs available for $300. Contact us if you are interested. All the sheep in the pictures are unshorn.
